AnnualPancake Race 13th February 2024 

                                         

Our 28th annual pancake race had 12 teams from local businesses battling it out for for first place.  The overall winners were Victoria Place Security, KC Kitten from Woking Football Club came first in the mascot race and Rosewood Juniors took the winning prize in the children's race. Local media personality James 'JP' Pearce compered and Marciano Lounge provided the pancakes, the local community were so supportive and the final amount raised is in the region of £600.

Christmas Hamper Raffle

We made up 14 Christmas Hampers; containing goods and items kindly donated by members of the public, clients and staff.  We sold tickets for a raffle draw to win them, and we raised £445 for our charity.  Thank you to everyone who purchased a raffle ticket, donated items, and to all staff involved in making up the hampers, and running the draw.

                                         Annual Pancake Race February 2023

After a three year break our annual pancake race was back and a huge success. With local media personality Peter Gordon compering and Marciano Lounge providing tea and pancakes 15 local business teams ran, many dressed in Coronation theme fancy dress.

The local community were so supportive and the final amount raised is almost one thousand pounds.

Woking Rotary Swimathon

​

On Sunday 10th October we participated in the Woking Rotary Swimathon event held at Woking Pool in the Park.  We swam as a team of 6 in relay style, and completed an impressive 136 lengths within 60 minutes.  We managed to raise over £600 in sponsorship which has been given to Woking Rotary Benevolent Fund.  Thanks to all those involved in making this event possible.

Annual Charity Pancake Race

The Annual Woking shopMobility Relay Pancake Race was held on Tuesday 25th February 2020 in Jubilee Square, Woking.

Our race participants this year were York Road Project, Woking Gymnastics, Seafare Fish & Chips, Surrey Choices, Cranstock, Woking Borough Council Marketing Department, New Victoria Theatre, Woking Borough Council Councillors, Woking Shopping Security Team, Peacocks Car Park Office.  Woking Shopmobility also entered two teams.

The fancy dress theme for the event this year was Holidays.  

​

1st place - Woking Borough Council Marketing Department who won the lunch & wine voucher for 4 people donated by Azzuro Bar & Kitchen 

2nd place - Woking Gymnastics who each won a pair of gym passes donated by Class UFC Gym 

3rd place - New Victoria Theatre who each won a pancake mix and wooden spoon 

Best Fancy Dress - Joint Winners were York Road Project and Surrey Choices (Woking Resource Centre) who each won vouchers donated by Seafare Fish & Chips

Most Money Raised - Car Park Superstars (Peacocks Parking Office Team) who each won a bottle of Prosecco.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all those businesses who took part, the sponsors, those who came along to spectate and support,  and all the businesses who donated prizes.  In addition to those listed above we also received prizes from French Connection and Sainsburys.  We also received a generous personal donation from Seafare Fish and Chips of £200.

Without all your support it would not be possible for us to organise and run this event.

 

Thanks also to the Mayoress of Woking, Cllr Beryl Henwicks, who attended the event and said a few words prior to the start of the races.  Thanks to Simon from Eagle Radio for being an excellent compere, to Harpers AV for the PA system, and to Woking Shopping Security for helping set up prior to the event.
